Most of the recent action happened last week for me. I've been assisting Swedefreak's Son with the estate. There's a ton of treasure lurking in the watch room and along the way I've managed to add a few of Jonathan's pieces to my collection. Additionally I hit pay dirt a couple times on the Bay....first was a beautiful one owner drawer queen 7548-700F Diver and yesterday I snagged a 6138 Black Bullhead which has real potential. Can't wait for this one to arrive Friday morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't believe I asked you to stop, did I? Check your texts then  More people besides Tim might like to own a vintage Valjoux-powered 70s chronograph, y'know.

That 700J is SO nice. Fantastic. I've got another one of these coming: I don't know why Spencer, but I'm so excited to see is under this one.

I have this one currently making it's way across the Atlantic - I paid a bit more than I probably should have but it looks to be nice 6309-7049 from '78 according to the case back. I'm just not 100% sure that it's all original....

Looks good, but I'd like a better look at the bezel. Here's another pic from the seller. It looks good to me but I'll reserve judgment until its in my hands -

I'm just not 100% sure that it's all original.... Looks good, but thats not a 6309-7049 case. Correct. It's a 729x case but the rest of it is 7049 including the case back. It even appears to have the big spline crown common to the early 704x's. My plan is to source the correct case, service the movement and fit new gaskets, possibly a new crystal and get it back to 100% .

That 700J is SO nice. Fantastic. I've got another one of these coming: plus this and also this stuff: I almost bid on that lot with the 6106-6439 dial the first time it was listed but was concerned about how it would fare during shipping. If the dials in good shape and you'd like to part with it let me know. I have the rest of a 6439 waiting on another dial.

I have a message in to the seller to ask about combining shipping and also to specifically ask for extremely careful packing. The last thing I want to get is a box full of loose parts all rattling around. I bought them all because there's all sorts of little treasures, including a 6105B movement in pieces, and I have high hopes for one of the quartz movements as it looks like a 952x movement. I've got a 9521 Dolce with the tungsten carbide case w/ integrated bracelet and a destroyed movement.

My gamble on the Black Bullhead has paid off in big dividends......it arrived and despite having a broken stem....this thing has never been opened or touched internally. It's like a little time capsule inside.
the outer case has light wear and should merit a quick refinish....although I'm kinda on the fence about touching it up. Anything that I'll end up doing to the case will at the very best be an extremely sympathetic clean up. here's a couple before photos along with a few more after I have he case a bath and treated it to a new crystal & gasket set. as it arrived... Lots of wrist cheese and DNA the dial & hands are absolutely pristine.. After a quick ultrasonic bath and new crystal / gaskets......on a leather Bund strap for the evening
