My memory must be failing me...again. I didn't know you had a real tuna! That explains why you aren't damp over some of the alternatives. Very nice one, Timothy.

Thanks, Russ...I picked this one up, about 5 years ago. I can't bring myself, to shell out the big money for a nice, vintage piece, so this one will have to do.

This one now, so, it's these two for the day. Of course, there was a strap swap along the way, too.

SKX173...check....black NATO....check.....let's get it on! I like that! It's a nice change from the more commonly seen variation, which is what I've been running the past several days. I like the look of "NATO" straps, but find them uncomfortable. Is there a brand that is known for its comfort? Myles

I have the same model! I seldom use it, but I can't bring myself to sell it. I had Jonathan Koch make me a custom bezel insert for it. He started with an insert from an SKX, bored-out and countersunk the "pip", and filled the "pip" with a mix of luminous pigment and waterproof epoxy. I also have a spare bezel assembly with the original SS insert. Myles

I really like the look of the black insert, but the all silver is just different. I've since switched back to the original SS. I bought a spare rotating ring assembly so I could switch easily. By the way, mine was made in 2008 and is still on the original battery. I'm thinking of changing it soon whether it needs it or not to reduce the risk of leakage. Myles

Mine appears to be an '07, and the battery must be original, because I bought it used in '09 I think.
