So one of my fav watches is my '66 Seikomatic Weekdater but the original bracelet had been altered to child size. Could I find a larger bracelet? Could I hell. So today I thought sod it. Grabbed some spare stainless out of my scraps metal bucket and started hammering, grinding and polishing. Now I have a bracelet that fits perfectly, not too tight, not too loose and Tony is a happy camper. Here is my lovely girl: And here she is with the last two rows of bracelet links made from scraps fitted: You can see them as the larger center links are not flat but when I get the chance I will sort that and I doubt you'll be able to tell the difference. Just ran out of time and my broken hoof was starting to hurt from hours of standing up. One happy Tone!

I'd say that'll work quite nicely! That's a beautiful '66, and would fit nicely into my collection.

If one has proper knowledge and have some technical skills or even if you don't, one can do a lot of things. If some one always says ......." I can't " then you have spoken it into existence, and one wont do it. One has to have confidence in one's self all the time. Now with the watch world and all it has to offer anyone can do some thing about getting things done. One has to believe in ones self, and that's where it all starts to happen for the individual or group. We have had many inventors in out times and many of them did things as history has stated ........... " By accidently doing something and it was perfected ". So why not challenge some things it could turn around what one has never thought they could be doing. If a bird did not sit on the egg, it would not have hatched. That is how important it is to do things and get them accomplished. Never say ....." I can not or I am not capable, etc. ".

thanks tony, that is really nicely done. i think i'd just have to find the right pieces of steel for 2 vintage bracelets of mine that strangulate the wrist i was contemplating swapping the clasps for longer ones, but this would be way better than that. if i were a kid i would have fixed it with a paperclip already
