So I won this Sportsman 6602-9982 "waterproof" dated to 1968 17J handwinder. Spent under $20 on a flyer. Sometimes they pan out, sometimes not. This one really panned out. Total tear down to ultrasonic cleaner, de-gunkification, proper end link swap, Polywatch on the crystal, and BINGO - a great daily beater. The dial and hands are 100% new looking and perfect. Over 2 days it's lost only 9 seconds (Whoa!). Too many scratches and nicks on the case to call it a true beauty, but the "After" shot photo makes it look 10 times more scratched up than the eye does in real life - that's what these digital pictures do. Anyway, I have a new Seiko in my rotation and I could not be more pleased.

Oh yeah, the "Before" pic - some reason I can only add 1 pic per posting.
