Just curious, Myles. What is the drawback/disadvantage to WUS IYO? It seems like the signal-to-noise ratio keeps getting lower on the WUS Seiko & Citizen forum. It's mostly "look what I got" (which I don't mind, for the most part), and "post your <fill in the blank>" (which gets old). Myles and since most of the knowledgeable people and even the trolls have left creating a vacuum; the old myths and bad recommendations are growing again. Seems if you leave a void, it will rapidly fill up with dead leaves and nonsense

the old myths and bad recommendations are growing again. You're right. I've read several posts recently recommending that a quick fix for a fast running watch is to hit it. I guess the idea being that if a hard knock dislodged the hairspring from the regulator curb pins, another hard knock will put it back in place. This is the kind of stuff that makes me think twice about buying watches from the sales forum there. However, as you've said, "buy the seller".
