I'm not sure of the protocol here, but I'd be happy to host the world traveller in Hobart (far end of the country from Martog) while it's in Australia. Assuming I'm considered a member in good standing, how do I nominate to get on the list? Sure, I think we can make that happen...

Hi Guys the world traveler arrived late this arvo Perth time and all is good. I will have to fit one of my own bracelets on it because the one on the watch and the spare are for the little wristed people of this earth. On the weekend some visits in Fremantle and Perth, them next weekend a trip down to Augusta. Early the following week the watch is off to Hobart, is this how you want me to do??
Cheers Mark

You're a man after my own heart Mark. Little Creatures pale ale is one of my favourites and I made a point of visiting Fremantle and the Little Creatures beer hall when I was last in the west.

You are a lucky man to live in such a great part of the globe. I had the good fortune to spend a few days in Perth back in Oct/99. Had a blast sampling the bevies & food too! Got a chance to visit the Pinnacles & Freemantle. Would love to visit again and do some diving further north during the coral spawn. I love Australia.

Nice to see the WSWT safely in Mark's arm and being exposed to more food, booze and nice scenery!

The Second installment of the WT on its travels. Beautiful Augusta where two oceans meet. I got to Augusta after a 3 hour drive so a little before 9am and went to one of my favourite eating spots for some eggs and bacon on toast. Some sightseeing pics The Augusta Hotel Motel drunk a few nights away in this place believe you me. Next is the Color patch store the last eating place until you reach Antarctica View from the color patch store looking at the blackwood river in summer I swim back and forth for some exercise.
Next, up the main street there is only 6 thousand people in augusta so very quite just as I like it. Matthew Flinders the English explorer navigated these very dangerous waters in 1801. A couple of guys fishing this time of the year Bull nose Herring are plentiful and stunning pan fried in flour. This is the view from the Augusta holiday house out to the Antarctic A new fishing boat pen just finished Picture looking up the Blackwood river. Crabbing is a bit of a past time here in Augusta so a poster on the do's and dont's Cheers and thanks for letting me in on the WT its been a hoot. Cheers Mark

Well I'll be looking out for it. The weather is appalling at the moment so hopefully it clears up in time for some photos around town with the WT.

The World Traveller has arrived safely in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. For those not familiar with our wide brown land, Tasmania is the island off the south east coast and Hobart is the capital city on the south east end of the island. The city's population is around 200 000 and it's about as far from Martog's home in Western Australia as you can get. I'll get out and about to take some pictures soon. Here's proof the WT arrived safely. On a nice gator print strap. Its a real beauty and I'm looking forward to wearing it a lot over the next week or so. Cheers, Tristan
