Thanks for the good wishes guys. Yes, I walked to the hospital. My house is an easy 15-20 minutes walk away and it was a sunny autumn morning. Nope, they don't let you walk out of there on your own - although I felt good enough for the first few hours that I probably would have tried it. My wife picked me up when they were all done. I thought it was going to be a local anaesthetic and light sedation, but I slept through the whole thing - probably for the best. Despite my boss's horror stories, I'm feeling fine this morning. Don't let the wife hear that though, gotta milk it for all the sympathy I can get :-)

Absolutely magnificent place and beautiful pictures.
One question . . . the sky is so blue there, do you get chem trails?

One question . . . the sky is so blue there, do you get chem trails? No, no chemtrails here. The government controls the population by putting fluoride in the water instead. :-) Seriously though, I don't think I've ever seen a contrail/chemtrail here. There are no high altitude flight routes over the state . Where would they be going - Antarctica, South Africa or South America half way around the world? Flights come into the airport low and from the north so they don't fly over the city and I don't think they're anywhere near high enough to cause trails. Mostly the only aeroplanes we see are light aircraft tourist flights and the odd rescue or police helicopter.

The WT has been MIA for 3 days. I think there has been a Viagra /WSWT / 4G trifecta accident

Well it's been great fun hosting the World Traveller but it's time it moved on. Next stop is Essex in the UK. Our GPO is undergoing a freshen up so she's covered in scaffolding. You guys in the UK should be used to this sort of view. There's a post office in there somewhere. These shots are just for you 69chevelless. A Golden Wombat and her baby and a wildlife park Koala. Thanks for reading everyone.

Great tour Tristan and much thanks for the wombat pics! I guess she didn't like the WT and wouldn't put it on since it clashed with her shoes?

No exciting adventures yet, but had to make a small repair. I thought the bracelet clasp was a little loose and on closer inspection, one side had a broken off where it clips to the bracelet itself. Fortunately I had a spare ! I'll put the original back in the bag when I pass it on but I don't think it's much use.

I have a box full of bracelet parts that will probably never be used and I was so glad to find one that fitted and looks good too. I am more than happy to donate it.
