1971 6106-5009 DX. The original owner told me this watch spent a lot of time at Studio 54 in the 1970s.

Greetings from Auckland Airport's International Terminal waiting area! I'm heading off to Europe for 3 weeks to attend some conferences and workshops, so all-weather, reliable, easy-to-replace-if-lost-or-stolen is the order of the day! This means I'm wearing a watch that's younger than me for the first time in a long time, and it's Japanese to boot; my quartz Pulsar diver: Excuse the terrible photo, I'm not bringing my nice camera with me and the lighting in here is of course not optimised for this kind of thing! This is actually a pretty nice watch for what it is, Pulsar being just a re-branding of Seiko (below Seiko but above Lorus in terms of quality, I think). Nice, weighty stainless steel case, 120 click unidirectional bezel, and pretty decent lume. I think of it as a "poor man's SXK007". I bought this when I was in California, about US$50 on Amazon, from memory, maybe $60ish, but definitely very affordable!
