Any blip on the Watchrecon screen yet? Haven't seen any yet but it's early. I'm just curious what the criteria is for our posts on WS to get picked up. Seems odd we would be omitted to begin with. They have to actually add you the their search engine, hopefully if we keep up the listings here...we can get added.

We need to have a regular weekly listing day perhaps. Saturday lists! Push the bumps, list the new listings.

I'd suggest then a regular posting day, with day before reminders. It's probably less important that sales happen than listings happen. So, a shift in what people (me) think - sales aren't as important as listings. Who cares if the sales happen, as long as the listings happen. I will do my part. I'd suggest Saturdays.

You're obviously missing the point.....We are speaking about what is good for the forum, not just the individual. But if someone lists a desired product, price it fairly, it'll sell. It's a win/win for everyone, not sure how that concept is so hard to grasp.

I'm curious as to whether PM only ads qualify for WR? After all, the purpose of their existence is to make watches available to the WIS community. By making it PM only, you're eliminating 99.9% of the WISs in the world, or am I missing something?

They need to register, to communicate with the seller. How else do you propose we do it, everyone list their email in the sale thread? That's not a great idea, the bots scoop them up and you end up getting spammed. Part of the purpose of the sale listings, is to help grow the community. Can't grow the community, if people don't register.

I just looked at WR for the first time, it's amazing.
Can we not just email the admins and say "Hey numnut, can you reference us?"
I'm sure someone's already thought of that.

I just had to register on TZ to buy a vintage Dugena as there was no other way to contact the seller. Also as some general info, PMWF was on Watch Recon for years, after we opened WFWF (same community and actually more traffic) we asked him to put us on. We have had the same answer/experience that Tim has had.

Well I did get one sale and I supported this effort by buying a watch.
My goal was to help with the WSMFS event. I also don't really care if my stuff sells, after a while I'll push it to fleabay and let the masses take it away.

20 new members in the past 4 days, I'd say that's a pretty decent run. I see some listings marked as sold, and hopefully more will in the near future. I'm mailing out one today, and have interested parties on a couple others...It'll be nice to see the listings continue.
Oh, and we've just reached 90 members/24 hrs mark...that's pretty big IMO. It wasn't all that long ago, we were @ 40-50.
