Does anyone but me see the irony? Japanese watch at Pearl Harbor? No hard feelings or offense here . . . just sayin' I am a Japanese American on that ship. I am just sayin' Not many people (even in the US) know that by unit size the 100th Infantry Battalion was the most decorated of WW2. What make's them even more interesting is the fact that it was made up of "Nisei" Japanese Americans. The 100th Infantry Battalion still exists as a reserve unit & has been deployed to Iraq & Kuwiat. They are known a "The Purple Hearts Battalion" And their motto? "Remember Pearl Harbour" Bladedogg I mean no disrespect by using the term "Nisei" I mean it as it definition "Second Gen" hope I got that right?

To be honest, I am just offended that some people will actually point out something like that. And then point out, "no offense". If you really mean no offense then seriously, don't post it.
69ChevelleSS, I don't know you from the next man or woman but I hope read my sentence above and take it with a grain of salt. I can only assume you saw that, thought it was interesting, and posted about it. Maybe some cultural and/or national sensitivity may be in order the next time you choose your words.
And "dad-the-diver" you did use that term correctly, Nisei or second generation, is the correct term. Thank you for posting that. An American is an American no matter what the color of the person is.

Go for broke!
I'm very honored to have had a chat with the late Sen. Inouye...that man has experienced and has done more for our country than I ever will.
And thanks for the pics BD...living here, you sort of take these places for granted and only visit to entertain out of town guests. I'll definitely make plans soon.

BC - it is totally refurbished and renovated, you better go check it out, it is really a lot to see now. I would recommend you call and find out the "slow" days and times. It gets really busy! It really is a great memorial and tribute.

REALLY . . . you're being WAY to sensitive . . . . I said no offense intended or taken but you chose to take offense. What's up with that? If you want to talk more, PM me and we'll chat off line. I'm in no way racist or prejudiced. I just thought it was ironic. No more, no less. BTW . . . in case you didn't know . . . . The American Government knew that there was going to be an attack on Pearl Harbor. They decided to let it happen as "a sneak attack" as an excuse to get into another war front with Japan.

69ChevelleSS, you have to right to say what you would like, freedom of speech. I will not get into a politcal debate with you on my thread about Seiko watches. Aren't you glad you are an American? Like you said, please PM me anytime. Much Aloha.
