Citizen pioneered black coated cases in the early 1970s, and here are two examples, both chronographs. These sports watches are also a good size, about 42mm across. On the left is an auto, with the 8110a high beat 'flyback' movement (model number 67-9178), whilst on the right is a hand winding Record Master Rally Custom. Very 1970s, but still pretty cool imho: Stephen

Your pieces are absolutely eye catchers, mate!
I used to have a very nice Bull Head Citizen from '70s, and yes, I do love older Automatic Citizens a lot.

Those are really nice surprised-scream-smiley-emoticon Citizen's back catalog is pretty interesting - they are known much more for their modern stuff of course, but once I got to know something about their vintage watches I decided to research them as much as possible and of course, to collect 'em Stephen I know what you mean Stephen. There is this particular Seven Star that I am looking out for because I saw it on SCWF. Fell in love with it the first time I saw it. Unfortunately it's rare and not cheap but it's on my list of must haves now...
