Feeling a little nostalgic this evening so I put on one of the first watches given to me in my collecting career... This is a beautiful watch with 40 micron rolled gold. It was used a lot before I got it so there is a lot of brassing. Fortunately the brass and the gold used are not too terribly different in colour when polished up. The movement is a Felsa 692 from about 1948(roughly my birth year). It is a 25 jewel calibre with adjustments in 6 positions plus temperature. This was probably a chronometer when it came out of the factory. This watch comes from an era when the Swiss were copying, plagiarizing and otherwise using IP that did not belong to them. This watch is a faithful homage to an Omega model... The Chinese don't have any special hold on the copying/homage thing None the less, this DOM Watch is likely as good as the Omega it copied or perhaps even better from the point where they left the factory!

Very nice! Does that have the Valjoux 7750 under the hood?

Very nice! Does that have the Valjoux 7750 under the hood? It does indeed, complete with wobble.
