I was contacted by an eBay member, asking if the photos on my auction were someone elses. He supplied me with the auction in question (found HERE), and whaddaya know...it's my pic. He then gave me some details, he actually made the purchase from the scammer... "Thank you for taken an action for your own photos. I truly appreciate for it for the truth! I bought that item on November 6,2014 after he listed within 5 minutes. Buy it now with $140. And than next couple of minutes, I found your listing. So, I find out you are the original owner of those photos because of your good reputation on ebay. You listed with much enough photos of the item. I totally believed he stole one of your photo and he listed. But, what can I do at that time. I must wait the time to item receive. I received that item yesterday. Watch is same model as yours but totally unusable. Pushers are stuck. Movement is non-working. Band is loose. Buckle is twist with lots of scratches. Crystal has dents & scratches. I have already filed a case. I just confirmed you are the original owner of those photos.Thank you for your cooperation. I am a serious collector/ seiko fan."I have reported the seller to eBay, but I doubt they'll do anything about it...just frustrating.

Why are we pussyfooting around the scum bag seller's ebay ID name here?
He's a rat fink bastard lying peice of garbage. He stole a photo and pulled a bait and switch and should be called out.
24 positive ratings, none as a seller in the last 6 months.
So sorry to hear you got dragged into someone else's misfortune. You are a good guy to help out the poor fellow.
He should open a PayPal case, not just an ebay case, because that costs the seller $20. for the privilege of being reviewed.

It's clearly listed on the auction page, that's linked in my OP. And yes, I completely agree with your assessment of the seller.

Hi. This guy has been under described by all. He is a lying thieving c&@t. His very few sales include feedback for selling a stolen phone. Cheers Phil

I had this happen years ago with a yellow '72 6139-6005 I listed on evilBay. Not only did they steal my pictures, they stole MY DESCRIPTION, too!
Word for word. All they did was change the serial number and build date. Since I cruise Ebay Seiko auctions every day, I caught it myself. I complained to them about it and, to their credit, they immediately removed the offending auction. I had gotten $285 for the watch, which at the time was a small fortune. That explains why I was plagiarized.
I tried to tell myself that what they say is true...

Here is the response, I received back from the seller.
"i notice that theres thousands of other listings of different people selling the same item with same picture, i had no way to upload a picture so i googled and found the one i used to show the item i had . i cant help that it was your picture and that my item is the same as the picture i used sorry for the misunderstanding"

Misunderstanding? He took your picture and claimed it as his own to misrepresent an item he was selling. I know I'd be continuing this one on principle. People like that piss me off.

Make the poor buyer swear to leave negative feedback, after getting their refund. Man oh man, it's time to punish this seller, hard-core.

unfortunately most people on ebay don't understand the importance of accurate representation. they simply don't see things the same way we do. there's no point in arguing. I make an effort in the description of my listings to point out that the pictures are of the item for sale. its impossible to control what other people do.

I once bought a watch posted on ebay mobile and the guy said "sorry for pic that was blurry it's the only camera I own" Busted.

I'm assuming this is the last I'll hear from him...
"you are so wrong, my watch was in excellent shape with no scratches or signs of wear and i dont have to explain anything to you. i know my item"

They make MONEY from sellers, so they are very lenient on them and their .... ummm ... "infractions". What was done with the IDIOT that backed out of a winning auction (with me as a winner) to sell the watch TO HER F-ING SISTER INSTEAD!!!
Nothing, absolutely nothing as far as I know.... I NEVER even got a response from "Customer DIS-service" when I complained that the stupid B*TCH backed out of their supposedly "legally binding contract" which is a completed auction with a winning bidder. So, here's another "scammer" on eBay to avoid: millbrae2008.123

AKA: Name: lourdes serra City: makati city State: metro manila Country:Philippines ebay and so many other companies just take the easy way out of dealing just with the consequences rather than prevent the issue in the first place. they offer buyer and seller protection. in their mind that's all they need to do. i don't know about the rest of you, but I have at least one credit card number stolen a year. this year I've had 3. this is really annoying, expecially when it is your bank card as it takes up to 2 weeks for a replacement. 2 weeks without access to cash. rather than improve security to prevent the thefts the banks just offer credit monitoring. I've had free credit monitoring for over 5 years now. both myself and my wife. last time this happened with my bank card, I told them to overnight me the replacement or I was walking. they did it but they werent happy. maybe if everyone does this then the banks would reconsider their laziness

I've found so many listings and websites using my pics to sell items that they claim are theirs. Thats why I watermark everything now.

Remember when you had to host your own photos? If someone used my URL on one of their auctions I'd change the picture to an ape wearing a grass skirt.
