It's a funny old world..... I've been looking for Citizen's silver/white dialled 'speedy' 8110A chronograph for a while, without much...er any...luck. A long time ago, before I began to focus on vintage Citizens, I owned one and swapped it for a black version, since I couldn't afford to have both. So letting go of it has been a nagging regret for some time. Martog recently posted about his and the excellent service he'd had done, so I got a bit more serious about finding one. About three weeks ago I managed to get a (very) poor example, with a dial that was a possible candidate for restoration. I was about to send it off to '31 Jewels' (Brian) in the USA when a sale popped up on eBay....a UK seller, selling only to UK buyers, was offering what appeared to be a rather nice example, owned by him for over 30 years. Strange how these things happen - just in time to pre-empt going down the restoration route, here was an opportunity to acquire a decent white dial 'Speedy'. After an anxious auction wait, I turned out to be the successful bidder . It arrived this week: Happy bunny Stephen

Hi. As you said a few weeks back, good ones are now bringing big money. Badinski sold a good one this week for USD$380 plus shipping this week. Cheers Phil

If that's the one I think it is your real lucky as I forgot to bid and the limit I had set in my head was a tad on the insane side of pricing.
Enjoy it's a superb watch!

Cheers Mark Thanks Mark - I was pleased to get this one, especially with what seems to be an original bracelet. as I'm sure you know not many come up in this condition. Stephen

Rod. I would have thought that even a Queenslander would be bright enough to realize that something went wrong with the post and that attempts to edit the extras didn't work. Phil
