what this one will end up at? Almost 4 days still left to go too. I/we cant enter live auctions so if you go to e-bay and do a search for: seiko 6105-8110 bezel it will be the first item to pop up!

Leave it to Tiger, to have a private auction...I never trust private auctions. The thing I detest (maybe I shouldnt say it) most about Tiger is the fact that he is always bragging about his huge hoard of spare parts but whenever you ask him if he can help a guy out he NEVER wants to do so! I understand it takes a lot of time and searching to accumulate said parts but c/mon.....

I understand it takes a lot of time and searching to accumulate said parts but c/mon..... I brought two 6139 crowns for way too much money. I got chatting with the seller (evilBay) and it turns out he was restoring a 6139-6000 watch but was missing the winding stem spring so I sent him one free of charge. Didn't ask for money back or for him to cover the postage. It doesn't hurt to be nice but it hurts someone if your not... bleeding need that spring now!

To be fair and as much as I've ragged on him; he has always been a gentleman with me and has donated so many of those spares to my projects. That being said, stolen IP(crystal fiasco) and private auctions always raise red flags for me.

I get suspicious when bidders IDs are blocked such as in this case! I know I'm probably wrong but it makes me suspect shill bidding!

Yes, it provides an opportunity of multiple sins...not good Besides, eBay's policy of encrypting user names makes the private auction redundant unless there is perhaps nefarious goings on behind the scenes.

I say good for him. He was smart enough to buy those parts up early for personal use, or to make some cash off of them.
He once once sent me a much needed part totally out of the blue...and he's machining a case for my TSt right now. Good guy.

I know there have been some conflicts in the past, and as I started my way through the first few posts, I was starting to wonder if this was going to become another "bash on TOF" thread. I'm really glad it has kind of gotten back on track. When the anamosity flares up I tend to log out for a few days. I come here for enjoyment and to help others when I can. I have too much going on in the real world to deal with forum feuds.

Hi. John has just cancelled all bids and ended the auction. I do notice a hint of jealousy in regard to his horde of parts. He did not get it all his way when he was getting this stuff, there was plenty of competition and he often paid top whack.
Whilst I am not impressed with the alleged conniptions over there Jonathon stuff, I did not see an attempt to sell any of it on his eBay site. His dealings with me have always been spot on and his watch descriptions always accurate and professional. Cheers Phil

Hi. John has just cancelled all bids and ended the auction. Can't say that I'm surprised, he did have a bit of an advertisement in his description... "TYPICAL I HAVE THESE TWO NOS BEZEL BUT I CAN'T FIND ONE FOR A 6217-8001 (62MAS) "I hope he got what he was looking for.
