Taking the new arrival out for a test spin (definitely needs a new crystal and we're about to find out what else):

Any plans to do something about the face of your GS? I just read your post, it is the crystal with the "spidering"

Nice GS! I wore two watches today. The first was on test as I'm about to put it up for grabs on WS. It's my March 1970 resist/resist 6139-6009 in near NOS condition. I must be mad selling the resist but then why do I need two watches that look identical apart from one word on the dial?!? So I moved over to this my August 1970 6139-6001 Proof/Proof Interesting thing here is the resist dial watch is earlier than the proof dial watch and the resist has the notched case where as the proof does not.... confused?

Davosa Orange Pares today. That's one of your favs isn't it? I can see why If the hands were orange like they were supposed to be and the hour hand was a little shorter and the minute hand a little longer and it was 3mm smaller it would be perfect. I guess I should have just stuck with my Omega Dynamic since it was and still is the perfect watch but for some reason I can't stop buying new watches.

Sadly we seldom remember the words in that old Cinderella song 'You Don't know what you got til it's gone'...a favotite tune of mine btw
