I got my crown and stem today. Seems to operate smoothly and doesn't hang up. From Ramon/watchcollector
I had to screw the stem in to check the function. Seikoholic, might the threads on your stem be snagging on the hole where it screws in? I didn't have much time for more than a quick look but it seems that whatever the stem screws into is buried in the barrel of the crown.

All three of the crowns I got were jamming up internally, all of them. This is outside of the watch. Like if the stem were compressed back into the crown as though the crown was being screwed down, it would not spring back out. It'd just stick there until pulled (with some force) back out. I found this was less if the stem was going in and out straight, but if any kind of turn (like when the crown was being screwed down or unscrewed) was applied, then it bound up like crazy.

I had the same problem when replacing a crown/stem on an SKX007. The crown would compress the stem then it stuck and had to be pulled out. After pulling the stem back out from the stuck position I noticed it became less stuck each time. I then took the stem in my pliers and gently started twisting the crown around while trying to tilt it. A couple of times doing this and the sticking completely disappeared. The only down side was a tiny bit of crown wobble in the unscrewed position; nothing too much but definitely noticeable compared to an OEM crown from a new watch. This is probably not the best way to go but I had no choice but to make a silk purse from this sow's ear...well maybe just a better working sow's ear
