Wearing a slide-rule with some history for us all. I got the dial in some random parts lot, years ago. Later on Jonathan told me he was looking for one to build a project up using a case he'd been given. When I gave this dial to Jonathan, it never occurred to me that I'd see it again, especially after he passed. After he passed, Shawn found the boxed-up project watch in Jonathan's estate, and sent it to me. I got to restore the dial, service the movement, do general restoration etc, and it went back to him. Shawn had refinished the case. In the meantime I put together another one for Saul, and I was really taken with how cool these are. Not everyone loves them, but I think they're great. In the meanwhile, Shawn had traded his off, which I knew about. But then last week, it got traded back to me (thanks Dan), so it returned, and here it is. I'd considered flipping it but Sabrina has told me I' should keep it, so here we are. I'll wear it until my next project shows up from Japan. I've wanted a 7750-powered watch ever since working on Bob's LeJour. I've wanted a 60s-era style German pilot's watch since seeing one of the original ads from the 70s for the surplus Luft Tags sold off then. So, I got this for a very decent offer price which frankly I was surprised the seller accepted.

Both are very cool . . . . that slide rule watch looks VERY similar to the 6138 "UFO" but with a different bezel. As for the Sinn . . . love the look . . . congrats! Do enjoy the smooth sweep of the sweep seconds sub dial . . . be careful thought . . . it can be mesmerizing!

Same case dimensions, basically, and alike in many other ways too.

5626-7041 KS Chronometer! Back to me after a stupid and expensive mistake of knocking out the keyless works trying to take out the stem.

My new favourite watch? Arrived fresh today from Mr Stoph. I am blown away by the condition of this one - as usual my pics don't do it justice!
