I low balled this "Best Offer" twice, each time expiring. On the third try the seller accepted.
Says it's been in a drawer with no battery. We'll see when I get it. I don't have a quartz of this reference and thought it would be cool to have one to grab on occasion. Nice patina. Dates to March 1980. Probably will need a service.

I’ve been a little bit quiet on this one. But a little bit excited too. (Probably an understatement) Just got an update- it’s on board for delivery today.

Sad update on this watch fellas
Looks like it is lost in the mail. The seller feels bad and just messaged me he is issuing a refund.
Because of COVID he created the shipping label at home and mailed from the mail room at his job so he doesn't have to go to the PO like he normally does. He checked with the mail room and was told it was picked up but there has been no update in tracking at all. It is stuck at "shipping label generated waiting for acceptance."
I said something must have happened from the mail room to the PO and he should search the mail room himself.
Oh well, maybe it'll magically turn up. I even bought a new crystal for it.

It may turn up. I often send my stuff from mail room and it doesn’t track till it hits the destination. Stay in touch with the seller in case. At least it’s a very useful crystal. And if not it will be easily flipped. Which reminds me, I should get one.

I saw this SNE107 case pop up on the auction site, and had been eyeing it for a while. It is a really different looking watch, and I find myself really drawn to it. The seller made me a weak offer, but accepted what I thought was a fair price. I will not be using the solar dial or movement. After finding the solar movement is available at several suppliers, I may restore this one instead of going full custom. Next on the wish list: Seiko bottle cap, and orange monster.

Well, I’ve been looking for a few months at a SKX399 and saw a couple pop up. One with a few obvious scuffs on the dial, and another too pricey. Found one in the middle won at the right price on the auction site.. one of Claude’s restorations. Good enough for me! Jay

This was until the UPS man showed up earlier. Seller stated it is heavy and the bezel is loose and doesn’t line up well. I agree it’s a bit heavy and the alignment isn’t great. A 0.9mm oring improved it some and solved the looseness

Wow! That is the best looking watch I have ever seen!*
*with a power reserve indicator on the dial
