From Goodwill. Old Japanese made G Shock from 1997. It was filthy but in perfect condition. I took apart, cleaned and installed fresh battery.

I have been on a 7T32 kick lately. Not sure why, but who can explain this madness?
Picked up this 7T32-7G50 on YJ for the cost of a nice lunch for two. Watch seems to date to 1999. Not sure about the included Prospex box...was Prospex even a thing then? Other examples I have seen online have the round black plastic 'Seiko Sports' box which was used beginning in the early 1980s. Prospex or not, still a really nice looking watch.
I almost bid on different example of this model, equally nice, but sans box/papers. The two auctions were scheduled to end within a day of each other, with the other watch ending first. I held off bidding on the other one hoping I could get this one for similar money, and made the right call because this one with the box/papers ended up selling for $10 less than the other one sold for.
Anyone have a '99-'00 JDM Seiko catalog? There seems to be a big gap in available catalog scans from 1999-2003.

A 7548-700C from October, 1981. I bought one of these in museum condition a year or two ago, but am afraid to put it on. This one looks a little more wearable.

This one to harvest the crystal. I hope it sands down well regardless of the chipping on the lower right corner. In any case I should get my Marlin to use.

Have this sitting at a warehouse in Japan. It is an SBJG001, a replica of the Giugiaro-designed A828 from the early 1980s.
I had wanted an A828 early in my collecting career, but the originals I found were usually in bad condition or were selling for more than I wanted to spend for an '80s digital watch. When the A825 reissue came out in 2018, I told myself I'd pull the trigger if I could eventually get one in nice shape for under $150. Not only is this watch nice, it's unused and comes with all the trimmings. The price was right.
I am impressed with the attention to detail on these. It even has the long-extinct Daini symbol under the words 'SEIKO Tachymeter'. One of 3000. I think all of these were LEs? Now I can feel like Ayrton Senna when I drive... well, kinda.

As anyone who brought up kids in the late 1990's and early 2000's would know, there was a craze for something called Pokemon that lives on even today. I recall spending a LOT of time driving around (this is before google) trying to get that next card pack, game cartridge, stuffed toy, figurine, guide book, clothing, DVDs, board games, etc. the kids just had to have for Christmas, birthday, etc. It's especially hilarious that the makers of Pokemon have harvested my wallet yet again, as I am sure I muttered something to the effect that I would never spend another dollar on it under my breath at the Toy-R-Us or Games For Less checkout register so many years ago.
The Nostalgia of Pokemon is deep in my family as it's a definitive marker of "The Good Old Days" of our then young family. So even though it's not exactly my taste, I could not help but jump through all the hoops necessary to secure a set of these limited edition (700pcs each total) Japanese home market released Pokemon watches released in celebration of the 25 year anniversary of the empire of Pokemon.

Picked up this A158-5000. Installed a fresh battery. Only the light worked initially. After almost two weeks of sitting, all functions operate except the sound. And....when I put it on my wrist the display malfunctions...oh well! As you see, it looks fine off my wrist.

I uh, went a little crazy. I was doing my normal bidding at Y!.jp. And then I got a small bonus and went a bit nuts. Over a dozen watches should be on the way next week. Some KS Vanacs, a couple of bands, and a bunch of older Albas that for some reason really caught my eye.
I'm really hoping this KS Vanac 5256-5000 cleans up well

I have a few LCD Quartz chronographs, though not alarm ones, that are perfect grab and go. The LCD issues you're having are most likely to be resolved after a movement clean. These are quite straight forward with the only delicate part being the crystal and connector. The sound might be a missing spring that contacts the back of the movement to the caseback.

Thanks for the information. I did read somewhere about cleaning the movement. I'll have to look into it more as I would like to be able to wear it. I enjoy wearing my 0634-5000. I got really lucky with that one.

I just bought this on eBay as vintage new old stock. I'm not sure about that, but we shall see soon when it arrives. It's supposed to be gold-plated too. At any rate, the price was right!
