Second time (and last one I reckon) I buy the 017. From all the 300m versions (including the new ones with sapphire) out there I still consider this one the best looking one. The only thing I would have liked: black day/date disk.

Got one of these enroute (pic lifted off the interweb)... Nice. I've flirted with getting a Hamilton Khaki mechanical. One day.

I recently developed an interest in vintage Citizen, and these both arrived in the past couple of weeks, a 62-6198 from 1976 (Yahoo Japan) and a 17j 52-0110 from 1977 (eBay).

Somewhat of a departure from our normal fare on here, but incoming is a Renis Geneve with a Valjoux 7733 inside. Looking forward to having a play and servicing it. Sellers rather blurred pic hopefully isn’t hiding too many nasty surprises.

A dab of cream paint should do the trick…

My first Orient. I got a little carried away in the auction unfortunately. Wow, that looks really sharp there DanS - I bet the joy of wearing the watch outlives the sting of the auction payment in no time. What year was that watch issued?

I knew I would regret letting it go without a fight. I don't know how to date it precisely, but my cursory research suggests that these were produced in the 1963-64 timeframe. I would be happy to learn more.
