That is a fake dial, though.

That is a fake dial, though. I hope folks aren't thinking they've got original pieces, if so, lots of disappointment posted lately.

This is an original 6309-7001 dial, a restored 6309-7001 dial

Seems as though you're missing the essence of this thread, not looking to "appreciate" mods, reprints and aftermarket parts for the 6309. Some folks definitely have a love for such things, but to me, it's kinda sacrilege.

It's unfortunate that he did not heed my advice about buying one of the mosted messed with model Seiko. Found out he bought another one here is the second one he bought. Ok link is working now ugh! Bit bashed on the rotating ring edges but otherwise that looks lovely to me! What's wrong with that one?

One is enough for me too Guy. I have one like yours, in good condition and not messed about with, so the case shows signs of use but no damage as such. Wore mine yesterday and the 6309-7040 has to be one of my all time Seiko favourites, it looks great and wear so well.

He stated that it's all original both inside and out . . . . nicks, bangs and all!

My SEIKO 6309-7040 , 6105 MOD.
The CT bezel fit nicely and nice 6105 style.

Honestly, and Tim has said this twice before to you, that isn't a 6309-7040 and that is a fake 6105 dial that really doesn't look good. I don't understand why you feel the need to post such picture in a thread dedicated to actual Seiko 6309s Alain?

Maybe time for another 6309 What a beaut! Judging by the strap and remnants of caseback sticker and the unfaded red, this one has been in a drawer the last 25 years or so. Rob

I shutter to think how much these ding dongs will over pay to get this one. I hate to say that I would even entertain spending 300.00 on one.
