This one has been up for sale, for quite some time now. It doesn't "look" like anything special, and I have no idea if the asking price ($2,450) is ridiculous or not. It's obviously a sleeper, because to me, it doesn't look like a higher end watch. *Sellers pic*

I don't find that watch attractive at all.

Strangely attracted to it. I think the top-crown is part of that. Glad it's crazy expensive, or I'd be on the lookout for one.

I will always associate that watch with Canadian Tire or as most Canadians refer to it Crappy Tire

I like it because it's "different"....and the spring drive is supposed to be deadly accurate.

With the IZUL, it's the civilian Spacewalk. I think it's pretty great.
Also, I've never heard a brand leveraging their own design language and technology being called a knock-off. Under this framing, Rolex hasn't made anything but knock-offs in decades.

I prefer the black version they did to celebrate Mr. Yuichiro Miura, a Japanese mountain climber who, became the oldest man on Earth to ever climb Everest. Below pic from web show both models side by side. Then the pic I took last time in Paris. While i visited the Seiko Boutique Paris. It truly is a fantastic watch, and pictures don't do it justice. The same can also be said of the SpaceWalk. I was luck enough to see one in the same store when i bought my SBDX001. That day i was to excited to think of taking pictures. Plus apparently the last two SpaceWalk watches available were sold from this store. So the price for the "standard" version I would say is reasonable. EDIT: Just check list price of the SBDB005 (standard vesion) 350,000yen - 2,802.92us$ at todays exchange rate. Seiya had them at 2,523.00us$ before being sold out. power reserve on this or any dial kill it for me. I'm kinda with you on that one, it typically looks out of place...and is unnecessary for the most part.

Can't stand power reserve dials, I'm yet to see one that interests me. What about the one on the back of etrickland's new Credor? I think that one's pretty snazzy.
