Hi everyone, here is my Seiko A829-6000. This one is cousin to the digital astronaut watch, the A829-6019.

Great minds... A827 6010 found in a charity shop. I'm impatiently waiting for a NOS pusher to replace the broken one. Not what I'd normally wear with a suit but for the sake of WristSushi...

Not what I'd normally wear with a suit but for the sake of WristSushi... trittoLikewise, I was debating the G-shock this morning, but I decided the Seiko would be better for the office.

So I don't own any "regular" digital watch... But since this one clearly says "digital" on it's face, I say it counts (and it really is "digital", simply not of the LCD kind). This watch belonged to my father, but he gave it to me some month ago with a load of other watches ("you started tinkering with watches, right?"). All of them either very old or broken or both. He only wears pocket watches now. Also - since there is no Date on this watch:

I had a similar style "digital" watch that I got circa 1970 or 1971 from a tiny ad in the back of a magazine. I remember it said 17 jewels on it but it died after only a few years. These were high-tech !

Attachment DeletedNice A229-5030. Plan was to wear my big honkin' G-Shock but besides being essentially unreadable I discovered it has the day but I couldn't figure out to show the date. So screw it, here we go with an oldie hut goodie. Got this one fom a guy who gave it to me "because I like Old Seikos" and he never wore it. It looked pretty bad. So new crystal, case refinish, bracelet refinish, slapped in a new battery (odd size had to order from the Net) and here we are almost like new again.

Casio Revman today. It's like wearing an armadillo on your wrist!!! I really like the older MR-G models and this one is in really good condition for its age.

Rescued from Craigslist. it was suffering from a battery leak that took it to the brink of being a parts watch. doctor Klein performed a magnificent repair/restoration.

Tough choice today...I have about 7 LCD's, but this one is the special one, 1978 A158. First seiko I ever laid eyes on, bought new by my late father, one of those objects I always associated with him when I was a kid watching him drive from the backseat and seeing this mind boggling piece of technology on his wrist. The beep every hour would snap me out of my daydreaming. rescued from his junk drawer and unfortunately had to find a donor board as the original was beyond my skills. (Original display was silver this one is gold but I always preferred that in digitals anyway.) almost 40 years in the family...rarely worn nowadays but close to the heart. Rob Attachment Deleted
