Looks honest to me. Good case and dial condition.

The side of the movement looks corroded. Is it normal or should I stay away?

It looks honest, but a bit much for this model. Not the most sought after 6139. Rob

I think it's all original. The hands do sometimes fade slightly different.(yours are very close) Correct second hand for a 76. A nice, honest example in my mind.

I'd say the dial and hands are genuine but to me looks like a relume. Hands definitely, dial not sure but given the lume shot I'd say so, and the evidence those plots look to have been refilled. Does the lume on the dial glow for a while, or die quite quick after an initial dull but present glow?

To my eye everything looks original but the inner rotating ring looks relumed or aftermarket? What does everyone think. Thanks in advance

6309 from 1984 with short text at bottom of dial. Even patina on dial and hands. Glows under UV. But text looks kind of wonky. Owner says it’s original. Thoughts? Do people fake dials and hands to look this distressed?

I don’t think the whole dial is fake, it looks like an original dial that has been damaged and at least partly redone - unfortunately not very well..

I did get it cheap and it has the rarer short-text variety at the bottom. I was thinking because of the patina on it, that maybe moisture sort of affected the text? But it does look a bit wonky like I said. I can always swap for another dial and hand set at some point. It has a Roman numeral day wheel which is always cool.

Does this dial look original?
The words "WATER RESIST" aren't in that reddish color unless it's washed out from the picture of it or exposure to the sun. Also, the font looks a little thick.
Thanks.
I also found this one. I need a heavily worn dial for my project.
