It’s a complete fake case. This seller regularly lists them and when approached just says his supplier has confirmed its 100% original.

andrewbeater55 is yet another ebayer to steer clear of. Most if not all are from Mumbai. His titles and descriptions are 100% BS. Becoming a very close contender to Martyn Stimpson

Someone is going to be unlucky with this Fake PresageIncorrect date dial, crown, movement, typo error on the rotor (COEP should be CORP) and they all have the same serial number 813124

Clearly the fakers can’t get their hands on the correct black date wheels - every one I’ve seen has had a white one.

Hi Nick, yes and I still believe these are made up from 'back door' parts i.e. most parts have come from a Seiko parts manufacturer.

Initial reaction is Seikosis dial. I may be wrong.

Initial reaction is Seikosis dial. I may be wrong. Rob Agreed; hands and bezel insert too. Part of the word "Stainless" on the case back is worn off. That heavily used condition does not match the like-new condition of the front of the watch. Plus the pictures are slightly fuzzy and poor lighting. I would not be a player on that one.

After being disappointed with the price vs. condition for a well used SKX781, I decided to modify a basket case SKX779 to a SKX781 using NOS or gently used parts. The dial and hands are the remaining parts of the build, and I purchased a new Seiko SKX781 dial from a reputable watch part distributor who also has an eBay presence. The dial showed up yesterday and is a bit lighter in color than I was expecting, almost like fluorescent orange. (The orange is not as rich looking in person as in the pictures.) I am also curious about the MADE IN JAPAN on the dial. I haven't seen many original watches with that dial. However, ALL of the aftermarket dials have a very similar printing. The dial itself is nearly identical to my SKX779, and the lume is perfect (unlike the aftermarket dials that are flooding eBay). The MADE IN JAPAN is what has me concerned whether the dial is genuine Seiko. The printing is clean, and perfect under extreme magnification. Going by the lume alone, it looks legit. However, I would like an expert opinion before proceeding. Thanks! Very OEM and legitimate.

Hi WS! I though my hunts for chronos are over but this one draw my attention. Is it relumed/fake or (too nice to be true) original hour markers and hands? From my limited experience with these it seems legit. What do you guys think pls? Thanks! To my eye the dial is aftermarket, I believe I see shadows or indications the numbers on the yellow inner rotating ring are raised which means aftermarket, the tachy insert is aftermarket and if it matched the case back serial would have a 'box' under the "60", and the hands are aftermarket.
The bracelet is obviously not real. End links have those obnoxious lines.
I think the case is real

Hi all, this could be a bit controversial but let's just assume for a second that the Aussie Pogue is a thing. Do we think this is legit? Apparently the day wheel is french. imgur.com/a/9tMHSixThanks

The Ausie Pogue is a thing. This one is correct for a later Pogue (including the tapered bracelet) Not super late in production as there's no box under 60 on the insert. Hour and minute hands look a bit too good, but then again insert and inner ring are not super faded, so maybe... Do you have a pic of the back?

Yes, similar to a 6119-8160 from the same era.
6105 hand set makes these desirable to those owners.

This one amuses me. A KS Vanac with... what is that, the seal of the Austria-Hungary empire?

It's Citizen Eagle Seven (7) logo.
I'd steer away...
