I haven't seen a thread on this (pls correct me if I'm wrong, no need to duplicate the effort), but has anyone figured out:
1 - Which bracelets fit? SKX or 6309? I dream of a super-jubilee on these cases!
2 - Are the bezels interchangeable with the SKX007/009/011, etc?
3 - Are the dials sitting on the same feet as the SKX dials?
4 - Do SKX crystals swap in? Mmmm... domes...
Could be that nobody has felt like messing with their new watch (yet...), or even taking it apart for shits and giggles, but I think these are going to look great with the SKX dial type, in blue, pepsi, orange, even with an SKX173 dial and handset (which would be the natural evolution of the 6309, imo).
Perhaps we can share our learnings here, as we figure it out.
Cheers - Jeff C

Mine arrived a couple days ago. Funny thing, my 6309 bracelets won't fit the SRP775, but the 775 bracelets fit the 6309's. Also the bezels and crystal are larger diameter than my 6309, and 007. I see on fleabay there are already aftermarket sapphire double domed crystals available as well as bracelets . Don't want to disassemble this watch. It is really nice. Keeping about +or- 2 sec. per 24 hrs. Not bad. Wasn't sure how I'd like the gold on black dial but in hand it is awesome. Very well done. Bezel is tight, no slop. Can't go wrong with this one. Lume is a torch all night. Wears like a 6105 on the wrist. Very comfortable.

Interesting stuff. I see that the Uncle's 007 oysters fit the new case, which is interesting.
Has anyone tried other 007 bracelets on it?

Cheers - Jeff C That bracelet is Larry's 6309 bracelet, not an 007, at least the end links are, the bracelet of course can be used on a slim case. I actually currently have his bracelet with a set of Yobokie's EVO end links on a 7002 and his end links on a 6309-7040 with the EVO bracelet.

That's really interesting about the crystal and bezel.
Anyone have a micrometer for the comparo?
I've got to say that I'm a little surprised that Seiko didn't go for the SKX parts bin for these.
It almost makes me think we're about to get a new, plus-sized SKX slim case. Otherwise, why make new parts just for these SRPs instead of raiding the parts bin?

I'll answer all your questions guys - And the answer is, everything is different. 32mm crystal as opposed to 31.5 on the SKX. No SKX bracelets will fit without modification (The lug middles are a different shape). You saw it FIRST here. We go the extra mile to make your donations count! CASE BACK GASKET | 0C3060B0A | CROWN & STEM GASKET
| 0D016BAA1 | ROTATING BEZEL GASKET
| 0G350BA11 | GLASS(INORGANIC) | 320PX6HN02 | CLICK SPRING | 81380079 | PLASTIC GASKET FOR GLASS | 86591310 | RESIN BAND | R02F011J0 |
METAL BAND | M0EV631J0 | CLASP | K04W11SA02Z |
So to be clear, pretty much nothing is a carry over from the SKX except probably dials. The dial lugs should be in the same place as they key into the main plate and they wouldn't have changed that just for this model. Bezels won't fit because of the 32mm crystal, and the larger bezel gasket confirms that. So it will be a new world of modding. However with new 32mm bezels, that should mean you have the options of all your old favourites for the 6309 as well as, if you were really keen, I'm assuming OEM ones from SEIKO (you'll need to buy the whole bezel and press out the insert). In theory that should be a new option. New crown gasket suggests a different crown tube or stem attachment. The old EZ0140 was never great so hopefully that's larger and fatter than before, but may rule out swapping the movement and stem OEM into an SKX case (anyone keen to drop the stem out and check?).

I've just made this a sticky temporarily, as for the next 6 months or so the same question will get asked constantly.

Maybe a dumb question but are the hands interchangeable between SKX and SRP?

As far as I know, hands from all Seiko automatics are interchangeable. There may be length differences (not in this case) but hole sizes are all the same.

Hole sizes are all the same, so no problems mixing them up. Maybe a dumb question but are the hands interchangeable between SKX and SRP?

Has anybody tried Strapcode 6309 bracelets on the SRP7x?
I emailed them but have not heard back.

Just got a reply from strapcode:
"Please note our item SS221803B035 doesn't fit SRP77X, like SRP775. The curved end bracelet for SRP77X series will be available in the future. Just under producing."

I have one buddy who put a SKX173 second hand on his 77x. And another one ordered a sapphire crystal from crystal times on ebay and it looks great. No blue A/R look to it and the crystal doesn't have the beveled edges.

I haven't tried this my self because I don't own a SRP77X as of yet but I'm told the East Tech end links I have available do fit the SRP77X series of watches. Photo: Courtesy John B.

Does anyone know if the SKX chapter rings would work on the new SRP's?

Does anyone know if the SKX chapter rings would work on the new SRP's? I'm also interested in this. I've got an orange SKX dial and chapter ring on standby!

Does anyone know if the SKX chapter rings would work on the new SRP's? I doubt it. The SRPs take a larger crystal than the SKXs, which likely means the dial ring is larger, too.

SRP uses the same bezel gasket as the Atlas/SKZ207 series, but the Atlas crystal is 1mm smaller. If someone has both to try a bezel swap ?
