Looks pretty nice to me, not even considering what it started as. A good example of a workaday watch that doesn't show the abuse actually suffered. Not just another pretty face. Well done. If you feel the need later you can always go back in for a nip & tuck.

I wouldn't know what to try next really. When the new hands arrive I'll have to seriously consider what to do. But for now I'm happy it's running. How would I go about getting replacement screws for calendar plate? And thanks both. This was a a bit of a baptism of fire considering its my second restoration attempt and about the 5th different movement I've learnt. And even then it's all been 7 series stuff. I don't think I want to tackle anything with as much rust for a long time! Cheers Tim!

That is a rally good result Guy. The chapter marks aren't ideal but considering where it started I think they're a nice piece of its history. Can you lift screws from a cheap 6 series movement?

Cheers Tristan! Yeh got it sorted. Dial spacer on way so should be all good!
I can't keep it (borrowed money) so if I don't get back what I spent I at least had a good time!
