Finally got to handle the new ones. You all know how us watch geeks make split second first impressions when we handle something new, and my first impression was really blown away. I didn't expect to really see that big of a difference between my SKXs and these new ones - but did, big time. I felt that the fit, finish, and presence was a step up from the SKXs. I can't wait to get one.

Right on brother. Night & Day.
4R vs 7S movement. Next step up in fit and finish. Polymer used for the rubber strap. Buckle design and execution.
Sadly I choose my SRP777 over my SKX every time.

I agree. I've been window shopping and trying them on a few times now, the fact that they are reissues, the new movement, fit and finish and that nice rubber strap, keeper and buckle combo. I am missing an SKX in the collection now but between it and the new SRP777 I am very much inclined to get the reissue.

Louis - The crown position is off, so you get a wonky day/date. Besides that it's technically possible with the right spacer rings etc, except that in addition to that, the dial lugs don't line up, so you'll need to stick the dial to the movement with dial dots or some other Loy style technique. Aloha ,

I got to test driv the SRP775 the other month. And can confirm just like others that it's a great watch on the wrist. The SRP777 is my favourite version of it though. Soon, (maybe) very soon
