Hello everyone. My name is Hugh and I'm from Wales UK. I'm very new to all this so forgive me if I'm in the "wrong place" but I thought I'd share a photo of my first Seiko. It's a 6106-5470 dating from 1973. I bought it in a Charity shop (what you call thrift shops in America) for £2.50 - thats about 3 1/2 US Dollars I think. The lady in the shop said it didn't work but would run briefly if you gave it a little shake! Yep, it's automatic.....I didn't tell her, just handed over the money. The face is perfect and everything works and runs as it should. The crystal was in terrible shape but I managed to source a new one on Ebay (in the USA). In fact I bought 2 crystals so I have a spare. Really love it and can't stop looking at it- is that a bad thing? Attachments:

Nice catch there Hugh, that ones a beauty :winner: I dream of finding watches like that in charity shops - all I ever come across are overpriced crappy fashion watches though! I guarantee you, if you hang around here for any length of time, that won't be your only Seiko for long

Welcome Hugh. That's a very nice pick up you have there, and quite unusual.

You are certainly in the right place. Great looking watch. Just don't think it will remain your only vintage Seiko... Welcome to WristSushi!
