Hi, I am having trouble with Citizen case numbering, I have been trying to find a crystal for a Quartz watch, tried searching Cousins using the case number from the watch back figuring they worked something like Seiko's, keep drawing a blank finds no reference, could be that the watch is obsolete, I don't know how to search with citizen No's. The case back no's: 3801-450302 TA 35 7502 This is the watch in question Trying to find a fit in the Sternkruze catalogue, how would you describe the crystal shape? Rectangular / Barrel or Bale? Also trying to find a stem for a Quartz. 3811-898419SMK 37-4415 I assumed that the second set of the first number related to the case designation as the first set are the movement, am I right?

This generation of CITIZEN has only the case number on the back.
So the case number is 35-7502
Movement number is inside the watch.
I have the tech documents for this movement if you want them.
I could probably get a crystal made for the watch, but it would be discontinued for sure.
If you follow the instructions on the Borel site you can put in the case number.

Thanks Adrian, Citizen numbers have me a bit confused, I have an auto #4-653221 TA, I have sort of figured out that the movement # is 6532 - is the next set #61-8764 the case #?
Tried the Borel site and had no result for the crystal, the watch only cost cents so I doubt it would be worth the cost of getting a crystal made, I can't quite work out if the crystal just pushes out or if it has a bezel, can't see a gap so I think not, was going to push it out and see if I could get a match in the Sternkreuz catalogue, would you consider the shape to be "barrel".
I have the data sheet for this movement thanks, it was a non runner but after a service it is again a goer - fiddly little bugger to work on worse than a ladies mechanical movement - just as well I work cheap - spent 2 days on a movement I could have replaced for $7.00
Thanks for your reply and the the watch crystal info you sent by PM.

That crystal is pressed into a hard plastic gasket. It's sort of a barrel...but with chamfered edges. Usually the barrel glasses are domed as well from what I understand, so check that. Looks like Mr. Welsh used to work for a public transit service. Back in the day you left with a gold watch. Now you leave with security!
