I'd say you got lucky.
These go for the big bucks these days.
Add to that the idea that Australians have that every old thing they have is a priceless treasure.

The Bullhead is a striking watch, but I'm not sure I'd describe it as "the most beautiful watch ever made". As for it being a homage to the Bullhead?

Add to the story that this watch is a "Chronograph", it is just a watch with a sub seconds dial at 3 O'clock, I must admit I didn't know it was from 1997 I hadn't run into one before and thought it was from 2007, oh well, this one has been confriscated by my wife.

Yeah. That's pretty inaccurate. The style of this watch makes me think of the discotheque, "king collar" shirts, chains, platforms, sweat and trans am's. Update!
Seller got his $275.00- I found another one for sale in the US for AU$654.00, guess I did get a bargain, also discovered that they did make it in a Chrono, however this one wasn't. Shows you learn something new every day.

How about this one: www.ebay.com.au/itm/282210124251 (BIN so I assume a link is ok?) "Purchased by an Australian soldier in Japan post Hiroshima". Model and serial number date it to 1964 (I think) which is 19 years after Hiroshima and 12 years after Australian occupation of Japan ended in 1952. Now an Australian soldier may well have purchased it in Japan, and it was certainly purchased 'post Hiroshima', but the link is tenuous to say the least 😃

Sorry kids, it's a '74. Another Aussie thinking they have some old piece of junk that's worth millions. How about this one: www.ebay.com.au/itm/282210124251 (BIN so I assume a link is ok?) That is a rubbish, "spammy" title, designed to suck some poor bunny in.
