Dear Comrades, After trading my 6306 - 7001 with my coworker's timepieces, now I came across with this 6306 - 7001: He thinks it is all original, but he also says that he is not expert and not sure about its originality. He sounds very honest. What say you? Any input and opinion will be greatly appreciated. Very best regards . . . Capt. Serdal

I'm certainly not an expert or even very knowledgeable about this watch but it does look to be an almost new piece. The dial and hands are a good match and the bezel insert looks right. Kanji day wheel and the case back matches.
I would be tickled pink with a 6306 in that condition...even if it should turn out there might be an AM part on it somewhere chinathumbsup.gif

Looks like a good specimen to my eyes Captain. I'm not great at identifying a/m hands from photos but as long as the dial says 6306 not 9, everything else (apart from the strap) looks good & probably original to me. Wait for a more experienced opinion than mine before you commit though. Best of luck with it

holy crap that looks awesome.
My spidey-sense tells me that thing is super nice, and probably original. Wow, looks great.

Thank you so much for your precious inputs, Comrades! Now I have peace of mind.
He is a local Vancouver collector at another forum and studying now. He contacted me for my SBCM023 Prospex diver which I had two, and very recently traded one with my coworker, and now I have only one.
Then he mentioned to me about this 6306 that he is planning to let go.
I shall get it, and will owe you lots of hairy wrist fotos.
Again, thank you all very much!

Looks great but hard to tell these days.
I suspect the insert is AM...no glass over the pip. My guess is it might be one of Harold's inserts which are stellar. If the insert was swapped, my guess is the crystal was also. If so, its got the frosted edge, so probably one if Jonathan's repros or NOS.
The point.. If its original, great. If not, what was replaced was done with the best parts available...a good thing.
She's a lovely watch either way!

Nice watch even if it turns out to have some AM parts (hope not though)
EDIT: looks like an early large knurl crown on a later date model. Not sure about that aspect.

My Dearest Comrades,
Again, thank you so much for your very important and valuable opinions! Very much appreciated.
I will contact the owner very soon and get it at a face to face meeting.
I wish I had another SBCM023 to part with and give to him, but this SBCM023 is the only one remained in my collection now. But I promised him for looking out for one for him.
Very best regards, enjoy your weekend . . .

Bezel insert is aftermarket, but can be found, so all in all a nice piece.

Dear Lucilinburhuc, thank you very much for your very kind words. Dear Seikomatic, thank you very much for your very kind words and for this very important info. Your 6309 is a heart melter, indeed! All right, I think I promised some fotos . . . The story first: I met the BC local watch collector this afternoon. He drove from a different city to Vancouver and met me. He was wearing a very nice (And new) 007J which suit his wrist very well. After drinking a cold one, I began inspecting his 6306. Wow! This piece looks like a NOS! He said he bought it in Tokyo, Japan. We sealed the deal, and I kept kissing and cuddling my new (Only 34.5 years old) baby till arriving home! And here are the fotos I took 15 minutes ago for you: It has a very nice box. I am not sure if this is the original box: Entire head is flawless: My brain was blown when I inspected between the lugs area: And same for the caseback: It seems like the entire case has the original factory finish: Aaaand, some promised caveman wrist fotos, attached one of my leather straps which I made short time ago: This gorgeous dial and lume have no wabi at all!: The lume is weak, it catches the black light, shortly after goes dark, but still visible: All in all, I am amazed with this find! And I can not thank you enough for shedding light with your amazing knowledge and expertise! Thank you all very much for your priceless helps and for sharing my happiness, very best regards to you all, Comrades . . . Capt. Serdal

I had to wipe my mucus and saliva from the crystal for a few minutes before taking these fotos! Dear Ron and Dear Rob, thank you very much for your very kind words. Another thing amazed me is the bezel. It is very sharp, and it looks definitely like new! I think I have a very good catch, Comrades. Very best regards . . . Capt. Serdal

Dear Tim,
Thank you very much for your very kind words. I am really enjoying wearing this baby a lot!
All right, it has been 18 hours since I set its time. As an accuracy maniac, this baby's accuracy is not that bad. -1 second! Not bad at all chinathumbsup.gif.
I shall continue updating you on the accuracy after wearing it for a week or so . . .
Very best regards . . .
