I guess Seiko and Citizen have too many watches in their line-ups to name them all.
Strange how we tend to refer to the "vintage" watches by their movement-case numbers (e.g. 6309-7040), while we refer the the modern pieces by their catalog numbers (e.g. SKX007). Why is that?

Strange how we tend to refer to the "vintage" watches by their movement-case numbers (e.g. 6309-7040), while we refer the the modern pieces by their catalog numbers (e.g. SKX007). Why is that? Probably because noone knew the original model numbers of the vintage ones and noone had any NOS ones to get the model number off of the boxes (at least those that did have them were probably not on the interweb back in 2000) Now that in the last 15 years Seikos have caught on in popularity and there are more collectors and easier access to buying from Yahoo Japan though services more of the reference material and NOS material are coming on the market and being shared. But since the nicknames and model number names have already been in use for the last 15 years it would be impossible to stop the cycle. Someone shoulda squashed that Turtle shit the first day whatever asshat walked into a forum and first said it.

I didn't know you were anti Scientology Peter. As a Sea Org officer, I feel compelled to throw him in the brig for the duration of my billion-year contract. Now, I have it on good authority that the brig is better than the closet that Tom Cruise and John Travolta are in.

John Travolta, all be it in some great great movies, is 99% of the reason I don't like Breitling. Find it strange Breitling likes him so much. Seems like a nice enough guy - but a spokesman/ambassador seems like a bad fit.

Oh really, the "Marinemaster" has no nickname? What about the fact that everybody knows which watch you are referring to, even if "Marinemaster" is a whole range of watches by Seiko? What about the MM300 moniker?
