Received my latest catch in the mail today, a SGP bellmatic, the case is in excellent condition with no major scuffs or scratches, the dial appears to be unmarked in any way, the crystal is scratched with one deep crack so will need replacing. The gold plate is flaking off the bracelet mainly on the 12 o'clock side, must have been worn by a desk dweller. The movement is clean and running quite well, on the Timegrapher -28/233/1.3 not brilliant but probably needs a service, under the hood can see no signs that it has ever been opened, no scratches or butchered screw heads and no service marks in the case back. All functions work, alarm rings, bit of wear on the crown guess the alarm has been wound a few times. And the beauty of it when I get to service it I won't have to take all those photos, leffymonster has done a great job on that, thank you!! Not a bad pick up for AU$120 I think.

I've not seen many gold Bell's, looking forward to seeing the "after" pics.

Thanks folks, groundhog66 not mad about gold plate not much you can do with it other than give it a polish with a gold cloth, thankfully it doesn't look as bad in the flesh, the photos highlight every little mark, can't say the same for the bracelet it's a disaster area, not the sort of fitment where you can sub a nice leather band, apart from that not bad, keeps good time and has a 44 Hr power reserve, have a crystal ordered and a few others to deal with so it will be on the back burner for a while.
