I decided not to bid on this one as I didn't have time to do any research (not that that usually stops me 😂) and the listing finished this morning at about 7am, selling price is just under £90 including shipping. Described as scuba pro 6309-729a. But dial appears to read 6309 704L at 6oclock? I'm sure I've read that scuba pro's go for sully money, did someone get a bargain or is it all AM? Genuine question as I'm learning what to look out for as I have bought too many pups already!

That's a fake dial. Scubapros were 6306 BTW.

The dots look 'OK" .. but the text on the dial looks terrible. If I hadn't been hanging around here for so long though, I think that this watch would fool me. EDIT: Just spotted that date wheel as well .. something looks odd there.

There's actually not one thing that's correct on this one. Once you see a 6309 that claims to be a scubapro- run
Never came with anything but a 6306 movement. Never in a slim case ( because a slim case never came with a 6306, makes sense?) Everything on this watch is AM, from the dial, to the hands, to the insert. They didn't even bother with a correct lollipop second hand. An absolute cobble job.

Is there any actual concrete evidence or marketing for the Scubapro 450 that details the movement and JDM specific market, other than the unravellings of collectors? It's just how do you fully convince someone other than "I say so" that the 6309 never had a Scubapro dial?
And those fakes are very convincing, although looking closely I see the issues with it.

Also has the scubapro text even got a tint of blue to it? If so that's quite something...

If you(generic you) don't trust the avid collectors who have done all the research; then you might just as well grab these things. This is exactly why so many con artists get away with selling junk at ridiculously high prices
