but it was ordered by 'She who must be obeyed'... and the feathers... This is only half of what I cut off; the rest is in the compost bin. If you look at thr brown door casing in the first pic; you can see how that luxuriant growth might have caused a problem. It was to the point that when we came out that door; we had to push our way past the Juniper branches...and they often leave little pricks and pokes with a little sap in them so you are scratching for hours later. I cut this thing down to the ground twice. Both times I left nothing but a bit of stump sticking up about an inch above the soil...each time; it came back and was almost good looking after two seasons. This time; I will be taking the stump and any roots I can get at completely out. All the damn Periwinkle is also going to be dog out and the space will be filled with some sort of perennials or evergreen type deciduous shrubs. I'm all about low maintenance now. This will be the third stump I have had to remove in the last month. This is the one still on the 'honey do list'... You can see by the size of my 6309-7040; that this stump may pose some issues machine-gun
