I had to run to the Watertown, Massachusetts Home Depot (store 2602) to pick up some AC-Safe Air Conditioner Foaming Coil Cleaner (end of aisle 23) and a package of AC-Safe Air Conditioner Pan Tablets (also at the end of aisle 23, conveniently). While I was there, I couldn't help but notice the abundance of lift trucks. Raymond Order Picker Toyota Lift Truck Ballymore Power Stocker Raymond Reach Raymond Order Picker Ballymore Power Stocker Cat Lift Truck Ballymore Power Stocker - This one's sick. Ballymore Power Stocker BTW, what's the difference between an order picker and a power stocker? The OP has forks?

All these were in the same store? Yes! However, there was only one "reach" and two order pickers, which I think is the same count as Josh's store. The rest were power stockers and the two traditional fork lifts.

I love how bent the top bar is on the guard of the LP mitsu-cat (w/nissan) engine. I thought only the guys around here did that!

The thing around here is they have a tendency to hit the fire sprinklers. We've been reasonable lucky, in that we have a dry system and some time can catch it before it goes wet.

Damn East Coast money. They even have a new harness for the OP. We only have 1 fat person harness and everytime I need the OP and have to walk halfway across the store to get it one of the 6 skinny person harness' is on it and I have to walk halfway across the store back to receiving to get the fat person harness and halfway back. Anyone pay attention to the length of the store and do the math All of our shit is wrecked. 1 OP with the table. 2 Reach (1 is leased and soon to be gone) 1 small Cat sit on fork. 1 large Cat sit on fork. 1 powered stand on pallet jack in receiving. 1 stand on electric fork in receiving. 1 electric stand on lift thing in electrical that you don't need a spotter for but still need to get the banners out and rope it off. Is that a finished ceiling? And A/C vents? And those isles look wider than 9' 8" regulation I have to deal with.

Let's start with the safety / company policy violations. Lumber here is notorious for them. Isle gate not chained. Forks not on the floor and tipped down Not a violation but a courtesy to the next operator the harness is not hung up on the hook. Should be tagged and locked out of service and parked out back. That first pallet is sticking out WAY beyond regulation but at least they shrink wrapped the base of it twice. Just so you know you can't mix palletized shit on the same wrack as boxed shit for some reason.

Here's our reach. And once again it is sitting in lumber. And the lumber guy asked me if I knew what the error code it was giving meant. Thanks guys for wrecking our reach. At least you can still read the sticker on this side.

By the way, is that proper stowage of the spotter flags? How about the roll of tape?

By the way, is that proper stowage of the spotter flags? How about the roll of tape? No serial numbers or otherwise trackable ID's. I only whited out. The black out is there for real for some reason. There are plenty of scars on it from everyone else (remember I only had 1 crawling speed OP indecent) if you wanted to track it when it moves on to the next store at the end of the month. There is a clip for your BOPIS pick list paperwork and not sure about the roll of tape. I have to take the 1stphone out of my back pocket and hand it off to the spotter otherwise imy pocket throws off the rear barrier warning or if I throw it in an apron pocket I can't lean in to see up top. Only the OP has a flag holder. I told the ASAM 2 weeks ago our flags were junk and he said he would order some more (these are actually pretty decent except for the staples holding them together ) Don't hit the brakes to quick on the sit down fork or make too many trips across the concrete slab outside the gate with pallets of plants otherwise the rolls of shrink rap stowed above will suddenly fall off of the overhead cage and scare the shit out of you

I had to run to the Watertown, Massachusetts Home Depot (store 2602) 20 stores within 20 miles I would have to go 50 miles one way all in opposite directions for 3 stores. Don't believe the web. Back dirt road routes to make the 37 miles listed is over an hour ride. Did you know there are still dirt roads and 2 X 6 bridges and people living in shacks with no running water or electricity down South in America in 2017 Can't take the reach off the concrete slab outside the gate.

In memory of our repo'd Garden Reach. We miss you already every time we have to walk 400 feet to lumber to get the other one But somehow they can find the East Coast money to get a brand spanking new Ballymore Power Stocker when we already have 3 electric ladders that get used a whole lot less than the 2nd Reach did. Notice how in the richie phuk East Coast suburbs they have lots of new lift equipment and in the rest of the real world we have to drive beat out shit. Raymond Reach. The steering binds up which is why our leased Reach was better. Crown order picker. And once again someone took the 1 fat person harness off and hid it in receiving instead of leaving it on the shelf (even though this is the only piece of equipment that uses a harness) and put on one of the 6 skinny harnesses Cat sit down small fork from Garden. At least they put new tires on it last month. Lumber also likes to steal our fork and not bring it back The Cat sit down big fork from Lumber was outside and I wasn't going to walk around the building or open the lumber garage door to have to explain why to get a pic. Dave the Greeter already started asking questions why I was taking pics. Raymond stand up electric fork in receiving Raymond electric pallet truck in receiving. Bil-Jax XLT 1571 electric ladder #1. Bil-Jax XLT 1571 electric ladder #2 Bil-Jax XLT 1571 electric ladder #3

Spotter should have stopped to lift equipment until the customer either passed or acknowledged it's presence and had 4 feet of clearance. You would be surprised how many customers after waiting 1 or 2 minutes to get out of the way finally turn around and flinch when you are parked behind them As if the flashing lights and beeping noises didn't get their attention Which is why it takes 15 minutes or more anytime you need to drop anything and it is guaranteed at least twice a week 10 minutes before it is time to go home that someone wants to buy something that needs to be dropped. Sometimes the 7 minute curve is in your favor with OT and sometimes you draw the short straw no matter how you hard you try to draw it out for another minute or 2.

I was going to take some pics today since I already had my camera with me for WRUW but the DH was there today (been at least 2 months since we worked the same day together).
It was a beautiful sight when we walked into receiving: 2 Crown reaches and a Crown slip all parked side by side at the charging station
Now if they would have only given us 3 Raymond trucks instead of Crown all would be good in the hood.

I take a week off and now we have a plethora of new (to the store, not brand spanking new) lift equipment.
The big fork in lumber is missing.
In it's place are 3 loaner small sit down forks.
I had to take my road test on this one.
No pictures of the garden Cat fork (same one as 3 years ago just worse for wear) which the recovery kids had somewhere, most likely behind the building where they were also most likely all hiding and standing around and doing nothing.
Not my problem anymore.
Yale loaner #1
Toyota loaner 2
Toyota loaner 3
Newer Crown Order Picker (not the same one in from 3 years ago)
Ballymore Power Stocker #1
Ballymore Power Stocker #2 and #3
As Myles says "one of them is sick" and just like his ours is also improperly locked out service.
Crown Reach #1.
I wish they would have kept the Raymond Reaches.
The controls on the Crowns suck and mast movements are way too fast and jerky on these.
And now for a family photo: Crown Slip / Pacer, Crown Electric Pallet Jack, and the Crown Reach #2.
