Some of you may remember this? I was kindly donated a bezel without an insert from rogart (many thanks) and went about trying to find an insert to fit... I didn't succeed. This is with an old butchered Arnie bezel insert. tritto found something floating on the net by searching a part number. For a reasonable price, I picked up this. And now I have this. Thanks to all who helped with parts, advice, keeping an eye on auctions and just general support. We have a winner on my wrist for a reasonable price. Cam

Did anyone here get that one on eBay the other day? Worn crystal but otherwise nice...
I wanted it but yup.... Someone really paid for it. Probably worth it though. Think it went for 425 USD?

I didn't notice, and I guess you didn't either Guy, that it was missing the second hand. High price in that context.

I have one I could use for it and a spare rotating ring but alas I couldn't afford it. I've wanted a black or blue one for ages now. Maybe one day soon when things settle here. Was nice otherwise tho although the case looked a little strange in places. Surprised how much they go for but then that's the nature of it all at the moment.

Guy you were biding against me, I gave up at 375... Good luck

I think my bid was 420 including postage. But to be honest I hoped I didn't win because I couldn't have really afforded it. Trying really hard not to buy....but also it's bloody hard selling the few I have... A friend told me this, though; "There are always more watches!". So I hope to just continue tinkering and doing jobs and ultimately trying to buy back my 6105 by new year. I guess a lot of the high bidders aren't really members of here or scwf whereas I used to watch an item to see it posted within the next few days on the forums just in the short time I've been a member. Not all the time....but fairly often. That seems to have changed a fair bit now it seems? Or I guess people just keep it to themselves maybe.

Yes I noticed that too which tells me that the Seiko collector community is expanding. Makes sense as prices are rising accordingly.

Nope, I never keep it to myself :-) Actually, I almost never buy a watch through eBay - too much competition. Looking at my records, I have three watches that I bought off eBay - and one of those was the first watch I ever bought myself - back in 2010. You're right though, Guy, there are a lot of Seiko collectors on more general sites that have have never joined up here or at SCWF. I'm also noticing more and more Seikos of the radars of luxury Swiss watch collectors.
