Today would have been Colonel Pogue’s 88th birthday so I’m wearing this and may have some cake later!

Found these two in a charity shop (thrift store) this afternoon. A 7s26- 0480 Seiko 5, and a new looking quartz Sekonda sports watch ( needs battery)UK£5.99 each! The Seiko is a bit ‘patinated’ but will make an ideal wear and go!

Regulars know I am quite fond of the 7006-7020/-7023 cushion style cased dress watches, especially with the color-changing dials that invert colors when viewed at different angles. Picked up this 7006-7080 that has the exact same case (but uses a different crystal, unique to this reference, amazingly I had it in stock!), coffee-espresso with black stripe or 62MAS-like shimmery brown with silver - I am really glad I scored this one. Funny how modest dress models have such a strong pull. Goes towards a passion for all vintage Seiko offerings!

6602 Sportsman with new crystal and serviced by Benchdweller. Keeping superb time for an early 1960’s watch.
