Hope your all having a good Friday. Today’s choice for me is one I’ve been rebuilding and then used the movement for parts on another project! I came back to it last night and rebuilt completely but it’s now a bit of a Franken watch! Should be a Seiko “ranger” 6309-508a I think as it’s currently got the wrong case back. It is running a much better 6319 movement which is not in the prettiest condition having some rust here and there on ratchet wheel and rotor. However it’s running sweet. Dial feet had gone so I’ve used dial dots to stick on and I now need to re-do as the dial has slipped a little. I also changed the day / date wheels from white to black because I had some spare! Crystal is bad but it’s hardlex and I can’t source a new one. I’ve tried polishing with my lapping plate and diamond paste and got it better. My cerium oxide has arrived to I plan to try that too in the hope of a better finish. All this effort on a watch that was a part of a bunch of scrap. I didn’t intend on fixing this one either!

BFS today while waiting for this afternoon's blast of snow. Speaking of blasts, Jake blasted this one for me when he was still in " The Great White North " . The novelty of the white stuff wore off a week ago.

Color changing dial depends on viewing angle. Band from 9 to 3 mesmerizes. 7006-7020
