Ok...never liked the nickname thing but figured I’d throw down the “pogue” gauntlet...anyone else acquire anything “pogue” that doesn’t tell time? My 7A28, 6139, and one very cool mug. The mug gets used more than the watches!!!

I'm not a huge 7A28, but that yellow is definitely the exception...NICE!

I've got a good buddy named Pogue. Not sure if he's related. And he showed almost no interest when I told about his name sake watch. I was pretty disappointed in him! Anyway, I could probably get all kinds of non watch, non space Pogue stuff, lol.

Yeah, like the mug, and I liked the Skylab program, but it was kind of bittersweet for me, so I never picked up any memorabilia. Got Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo, and a bunch of Spaceship One :-)

I was really confused when I first found out a watch was referred to as a Pogue. I had never heard it used to refer to anything or anyone other than as a derogatory term used toward somebody who served in a non combat role in the military. In the rear with the gear I guess.

Cool mug! Let me know if you ever want to part with it. But I went full you know what. My mother in-law framed all this for me just before she retired as a museum framer/painting restorer. My two favorite space watches Omega is in the safe. Too lazy to dig it out. Funny I stumbled on to this thread as I chose to wear the pogue today as I browse ebay for parts. And yes, as former infantry paratrooper, and being amongst family of grunts, it’s always a laugh even though they all know and respect Col. Pogue, who certainly never met “Pogue status”

And NASA never paid the littering fine issued by the Shire of Esperance when Skylab crashed.
