I always enjoy the posts and work of GuyJ, so a while back asked him if he'd do me up a 7002, since I've never had one. He helped me pick out a couple Ramon specials with legitimate dials and hands, so I grabbed them both and sent his way. Fast forward to last week, when this lovely little treat arrived. As you can see, the dial has a nice patina to the lume. Guy relumed the hands to match (fantastic job) and added a yobokies insert and new crystal (from KVW I believe although not sure). I fitted it to one of my all time favorite straps, the marine nationale. Anyway, Guy said the amplitude showed 280 so it should hopefully be a good runner. Guy is an absolute gentleman to deal with. Excellent communication and a good all around guy (pun intended). If you ever have the chance to do business with him, you'll find it to be a real pleasure. Better yet do like I did and come up with an excuse to send him something -- you won't be sorry you did. Thanks again, Guy!

Very cool watch. I have always called those 'the Jan Brady of Seiko divers'. Caught between the legendary 6309 and the legendary 7S26. Ever the frumpy middle sister of the Seiko diver family.

Thanks Lane, for your patience and also being great to talk to. A pleasure and I really do hope you're happy. You'll have to keep me informed with how it runs of course and I have something in the pipeline for you aswell.

Love this analogy...perfect. Jan is not a looker, and neither is the 7002 IMO. I have one in my safe, but it doesn't see daylight very often.

On the other hand, I have five of them, and they are my most worn Seikos.

I had a couple of 7002 variants along the way but just never bonded. Not sure why.

Hi praise well earned. Guy is far to modest because as we all know his attention to detail and extensive knowledge is amazing. Always helpful on this forum.
I have a 7002 coming soon... not that I need any more watches though my collection is getting silly now..

The 7002 ain't a bad dive watch...if you view it without the company of it's older and younger siblings.
