Friday’s watch is a ‘73 Citizen Quartz 8811 Heading over to the neighbours shortly for a beer and whiskey. I’m not so much a fan of a smokey, peaty Islay drop. Dimple is fine. Regards, Ross

Rainy, crappy day. Little bit of sunshine on the wrist. Day/date has an issue but I can barely see it without my glasses. Rob

Grabbed a beater and ran out the door in a rush this morning to meet an auditor at my office. It is Feb 30th right?

They threatened us with 1"-3" of snow overnight. We got maybe 1/2". Not complaining, mind you.

I really like this Timex but, man, it goes through batteries like crazy! Fitted the second one in a year last night. Beautiful blue dial that photos don’t do justice to.

6139- 6002 again today. Scruffy but shaping-up, and, a great time- keeper! Currently my daily wearer...

Another modest vintage, it just checks all the boxes for me. Next to impossible to capture the dial using a cell phone.

I really like this Timex but, man, it goes through batteries like crazy! Have you checked the battery contacts to make sure they are clean and that there are no scratches or burrs? They would increase the resistance which in turn would increase the current consumption. I’ve read that even fingerprints on batteries can reduce the life by a huge amount.
