Big money for one that’s not so nice...but it’s got the very hard to find original bracelet in what looks to be a long length.

Never understood why everyone has the expectation that a 40+ year old watch is going to look amazing unless it's a sock drawer find. New crystal, ultrasonic and some scuff removal and it will look great. Big money for one that’s not so nice...but it’s got the very hard to find original bracelet in what looks to be a long length.

Agree entirely Adrian but the number of ocd pricks out there expecting them all to look like safe queens is amazing. These watches were cheap and usually well worn. The odd ding and scrape is part of their character and should be preserved. Cheers Phil

I’m sure it’ll clean up great. My point was simply that at $400, the bracelet is the star of the show, not the watch head.

Cheers Phil So, Phil, your point is that if someone prefers vintage pieces in excellent condition to pieces in well-worn condition they’re a prick? Wait, a prick with a mental disorder? C’mon now...tad bit harsh don’t you think?😊

Mate. Been stuffed around lately by pricks over exaggerating minor faults in vintage watches. Maybe it’s a tactic to reduce prices but I am over it. Cheers Phil

Nice little watches, but I don't know why they sell for so much. The only one of these I have is the 7005's cousin, the 7025-8099. And the only picture I have of it is the seller's pic...from 2006!

Nice little watches, but I don't know why they sell for so much. That my friend is a question we can ask in regards to many Seiko watches right now. Guess maybe people are playing the speculator game. Sort of like those people were doing with houses a few years back. Wonder how many of them went bankrupt.

Those 7005's ar only worth $125.00 or so, If you pay more than that you have an issue, Or more $ than brains. But of course in a year they will be sold for $1000.00 and more.....For a Seiko

Point is...The prices of everyday inexpensive seiko watches are driven up by folks with more $ than brains. Seriously just because it resembles an earlier seiko diver, All of a sudden it is worth 5 times it's actual worth.
