But I wasn't thinking about this... Nothing fancy here.. Just a simple and elegant old Citizen hand-winder.. Cheers Henry

Yeah, that's pretty sweet. I'd relax a no gold rule for that.

Yes I agree, there is nothing wrong with gold watches in the right context. Some gold dress watches are really sweet and with appropriate design avoid looking chavvy.

Agreed, gold watches can be very elegant as the example above shows. What makes them gaudy and fit only for a darts players wrist is when they are on a gold bracelet.

Hard to argue with that one. I have a few gold(tone) watches, but only really wear one...

Still hurting after not getting this one. Only gold I've ever considered. Rob

Wow that's nice... is it a solid gold case, or plated, capped, or filled?

If I had a spare $20K I've always been partial to this... But just to stay legit with the land of the Rising Sun...

I own no gold, not sure I ever would...but that's a really classy piece. I guess that's the problem, classy gold doesn't jive with my shorts and t-shirt lifestyle.

I really like the proportions those lugs are a hit. You say simple hand winder but that's 31 jewels? That makes it kind of special... I'm betting Ross will be along soon...

If I had a spare $20K I've always been partial to this... Not sure if that's the 5296? They have had several Calatrava's in the last 20 years. I was sure I'd own one by now...I had searched for one in Stainless but now Stainless is all the rage...By biggest regret is parting with a steel Vacheron that looked very similar... I cry when I think about what I did...
