First outing for my recently acquired 6102-8000 Skyliner. It arrived a non-runner so had a full strip-down and service yesterday and fitted a new crystal today. I had a few issues with the rebuild but info on this calibre is scarce to say the least, so it was a case of trial and error. I’ll do a write-up at some point.

Good man, I have a couple of sky liners in my pile that I like to think I can get a good one out of. Not got round to them yet, I really must though.

This for me today. Wife is still happy as I’m completely unable to talk but I’m on the way back!

Too lazy to change so this one again. Plus I just enjoy wearing it since it's freaky accurate.

Another out of the JDM box-'o-goodies from last week. This time it's a 4623-8010 from May, 1976. Beautiful shape...even has some of the original bracelet sizing sticker on the clasp. Nobody does a green dial like Seiko, and my lame pic does not do it justice. This one is much prettier in person. I was stoked when it arrived and was a bit bigger than I expected. As is often the case with watches from The Land of the Rising Sun, the bracelet on this one is a tiny bit short. Wearable, but still bugs me. I was browsing YJ about half an hour ago, and found another of these bracelets on auction with about 3 minutes left to go! I had just finished cleaning and resealing the watch, so I knew exactly what the bracelet looked like. I didn't search this model number, the caliber number, or the bracelet code. Just typed in 'Seiko', and there it was. I could hardly believe my luck. A la carte bracelets are one of those things that almost never happen, especially on an unusual JDM model. And to think I was 90 seconds from missing it! Total 'cosmic coincidence'. I nabbed it. Problem solved.

Seiko 7017-6010 PROOF SpeedTimer flyback chronograph. Maiden voyage today. Immaculate dial and hand set. Rotating inner ring. NOS Seiko bracelet, not proper to reference but very close in style.
