Something a little different today. One watch that has never really appealed to me is the G-Shock - I’ve tried a few on over the years but they’ve never really done it for me. I don’t know if it’s the resin case, or the strap, or the garish colour schemes, or the sheer size of them, I just don’t particularly like them. And the steel case and bracelet ones, which I might get on with, are just so bloody expensive! I found myself with some time to kill before going to work the other day and popped into TK Maxx at Westfield Stratford, on the off-chance they might have some bargain watches. There were quite a few Bulova Curv chronos at half RRP (tempting, but I’ve already got a few Precisionist), the usual array of overpriced fashion watches, and a handful of G-Shocks. And there at the back of the display cabinet was this one - I decided to pull the trigger after trying it on, and I’m pretty glad I did. GST-W100D-1A4ER, a snip at just under £100.

Do to life's ups and downs and I don't think I have posted a WRUW in months....Again one of my favorite case styles 6309-8089 on a rally strap. Like the looks but its doesn't seem to sit right on my wrist.

I feel like I'm the only one staying at home today. Weather down here in SoCal is pretty ridiculous (100s). Hadn't worn this one in a while and it felt good to put it on despite not going anywhere special!

1970's Australian Navy - that's what is written on the case for this cheap and cheerfull watch. Attachment DeletedThe funny thing is in the image used on the cover of the the magazine this "Australian Navy Diver of the 1970's" watch came with - the diver up front of the image is wearing a Seiko CHRONOGRAPH 6138-0011, on a NATO strap.

My first craigslist treasure That looks in great condition! As a CL find hope you got a bargain too. Drove almost 5 hours round trip. Watch was price less then 1/2 it's value. The guy decided to jack the price up on me when I got there, he knew how far I had driven. So with a hidden smirk I paid his extra $10.00
