Maybe the original owner was living in AUS. when the watch was purchased. The owner now thinks it's an AUS. watch, Knows no better.

It's missing the snag-timer countdown bezel. Somewhere along the way someone has swapped it out for one of those regular bezels.

If it is, it came from "Downtown" Lew Brown, whom I am sure some will remember. Does it have a -7020 caseback? I hadn't even thought of that until I saw your vacation watch. Lew put that together in his house in Philly? It had ladder hands on when I got it, later changed to these,

"Australian model"? Shouldn't it have a Foster's logo or a kangaroo or something on the dial?

"Australian model"? Shouldn't it have a Foster's logo or a kangaroo or something on the dial? If I remember my short visit to Aus, they’d rather lick spit off the pavement than drink Fosters. VB all the way?

Yep. Been a while since I saw a Fosters. They changed the recipe to suit the pommy taste and made it undrinkable. The VB brewed in Victoria is OK but not so so from the Queensland brewery. Cheers Phil
