My God Peter! Get thee to a 7548-7000 post haste! It is a Quartz diver for the ages. It is one of my favorite watches and just ticks all the boxes. I'm not big on the dial. That's why my SKX007 never gets any love. And I don't want a hybrid with a quartz motor that says automatic on the dial.
I know what you are saying but...something on the 7548-7000 feels different. Maybe it's because it is the actual source of that dial or the true 4:00 crown. Dunno what but it is what made me stop being so uptight about quartz watches. At least, some quartz watches.

When it comes to Seiko my Quartz preference goes for the late 70s early 80s Quartz.

I've a few 7548s and my 7549 is one of my favourite watches, then there is my 7a38 and an Accutron... While most of my watches are mechanical, that's probably because the 60s and 70s watches are what appeals to me and there aren't so many quartz watches from the period.

I've got an almost even split between mechanical and quartz in the collection.

Quartz or mech is indifferent, as long as it is a Seiko... š

I used to be exclusively in the RC quartz camp. Then I got sucked in by the charms of mechanical and wore nothing else for quite a while. Then this arrived and broke the spell - Most of my watches are still mechanical but Iām happy wearing either now.

I have a combination of both, each type have their place for me . For me quartz are more 'grab and go'.

I just looked at my wrist, and checked what I have been wearing lately, and changed my vote to both.
